Catherine Vinay invente « Cannes Taxi Drivers », la première exposition qui vous transporte, à Cannes, du 15 au 26 mai 2013, sur toute la durée du Festival.

Avec ce concept innovant et ludique ses clichés de stars prises à l’arrière de leur véhicule à Cannes se dévoilent sur les vitres latérales des taxis cannois grâce à des vitrophanies apposées sur chaque véhicule.

Ainsi dix stars qu’elle a photographiées lors des précédents Festivals de Cannes – Alain Delon, Vincent Cassel, Nicole Garcia, Catherine Deneuve, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Leonardo Di Caprio, Monica Bellucci, Juliette Binoche et Andie McDowell – orneront une vingtaine de véhicules.

Catherine Vinay, photographe « infiltrée » au Festival de Cannes depuis 1985, propose aux Cannois et aux festivaliers, de prendre un taxi en compagnie et sous les traits d’une star.

Catherine Vinay creates « Cannes Taxi Drivers », the first movable exhibition which transports you around Cannes from May 15th through May 26th, throughout the Film Festival.

“Cannes Taxi drivers” exhibition is an innovative and playful concept, as Catherine Vinay’s photographs of stars seated in the rear of their official cars will be transferred onto window stickers affixed to the side windows of taxis in Cannes.

The images of 10 stars photographed by Catherine Vinay during previous Cannes Film Festivals – Alain Delon, Vincent Cassel, Nicole Garcia, Catherine Deneuve, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Leonardo DiCaprio, Monica Bellucci, Juliette Binoche and Andie MacDowell – will appear on approximately twenty vehicles.

With this exhibition, Catherine Vinay, unofficial photographer at the Cannes Film Festival since 1985, offers residents and festival-goers her impressions of film stars and invites them to hail a taxi and ride with a star.

Since 1985, beginning when she was a student at the Sorbonne university in Paris, Catherine Vinay has been an unofficial Cannes Film Festival photographer. Her passion for cinema drove her to make movie stars a specific focus of her photography.Having no official press accreditation, Catherine seeks out transitional moments between photo calls, interviews or film screenings. It is always a matter of patience and timing, the ability to wait and to capture the right moment.
